Congratulations on being recognized at the 2023 BBB Awards for Excellence. This coveted award recognizes your commitment to excellence in the marketplace and gives consumers greater confidence in choosing your company. Your organization should be proud of your success.

Attached is the 2023 BBB Awards for Excellence Logo for use by you as a marketing tool in newspapers, periodicals, direct mail, billboards, social media, annual reports, posters, flyers, television, and radio spots. We recommend that, because of ongoing design and guideline changes (see below), you NOT use the Logo on any permanent or semi-permanent item or
fixture such as company vehicles, signage, or buildings. If you do so, we recommend using a magnetic sign or some other removable material.

As a condition of accepting this award, you agree to abide by the guidelines set forth in this correspondence, as well as all future versions of the guidelines, as may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of the Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan Houston, Inc.
(“Houston BBB”) and the Better Business Bureau Educational Foundation. Each year, no later than seven (7) days after the Awards for Excellence event, the new guidelines will be posted on the BBB’s website (http://houston.bbb.org).

By accepting this award, you agree to review, within thirty (30) days of each future Awards for Excellence event, the guidelines posted on the BBB’s website and agree to comply with the then-posted guidelines within forty-five (45) days of the date of the Awards for Excellence event for
that year. If you do not agree with the foregoing, then please return your Award, immediately cease all mention that you won the Award, and immediately cease all use of the Logo.

We require that you abide by the following guidelines:

1. Anytime you advertise or otherwise state in writing you won the
   award, you must indicate the year (2023) the award was received. For each
   instance where you use the Logo, you must indicate adjacent to the Logo the
   year you won the award. If you have won the award in multiple years, you
   may indicate that you have done so, but must indicate the years you won.
2. You can only advertise the receipt of this award in our 18
   county BBB service
   area. The only exception is on your company website.
3. You are not allowed to say that you are the “best” in customer
   service, ethics, or any category of business.
4. You are not allowed to use the word “endorse.” You CAN use the word
   “congratulations.”
5. You must indicate on the award if the corporate office received the
   award or if it was the franchisee. The award only applies to the entity
   and name that was on the application and not to any associated companies.
6. You can no longer use the Logo with the wreath/branches even when you
   indicate the year. It is not an approved Logo. You can only use the Logo
   in the enclosed materials in relation to your winning this award.
7. You can use the Logo ONLY as long as you maintain accredited status
   and remain in good standing with the Houston BBB. Once you no longer
   have accredited status or are not a member in good standing with the Houston
   BBB, you must immediately cease all use of the Logo including but not
   limited to, removal from your website, advertisements, commercials,
   billboards, social media, signage, and vehicles. Your membership or
   accreditation with another BBB branch does not entitle you to use the
   Logo.
